Fake Angel’s Wings
An angel that walks in a graceful gait.
She smiles and laughs with good faith.
On her back are a pair of angel wings,
As she walk among the queens and kings.
But we lay for sleep and as darkness fell;
After the dark man rings death’s knell,
At the hour where men fear what the dark brings,
The angel with good faith and grace clip her wings.
