Bleeding Heart
Blood sliding from my fingertips.
What remains is your shadow; face fading.
Name unuttered by my lips.
What remains is blood, a heart bleeding.
Fears the blinding light.
To bleed is all my heart knows.
The darkness takes my sight;
Passion disguised in a rose.
The taste; smell of crimson wine.
Dripping like tears against the pale skin.
Blood. The heart that bleeds is mine?
Am I blind to my own sin?
Taste the tears unseen in shadows,
Lurking under the light of a thousand stars.
The bleeding heart showered in sorrows;
Weeping in thy scars.
My love, is there hope in a bleeding heart?
Someone come and rescue me.
Oh bleeding heart, I was lost from the very start.
Or shall this heart bleed for eternity?
