For No Other Woman Could be Marilyn Monroe

What does one know about Marilyn Monroe,

Except being that face that launched a thousand ships?

What more is there to really know about Marilyn Monroe,

other than the sexy way she nibbles her lips?

She had a face of an angel too good to be true!

And graced the silver screen with that wicked little smile.

Though many have tried to be a Monroe, no other woman could ever be so.

They fail to capture that bittersweet smile that is without its usual guile.

She was a sprinkle of naughty and a dash of class.

To many she was a woman of that enchanting presence,

To the few she was a woman so fragile like glass.

So complex was her heart, she often made little sense.

“Who are you, angel?” I often asked,

To know the woman beyond the diamond smile,

To see that child inside she so often masked;

All these facets of hers that never failed to beguile.

Her star never faded or even met any end,

For a star like her never fades but continues to grow.

Not even heaven can ever find another angel to send,

For no other woman could be Marilyn Monroe.
